Medicinal herbs are present in many cosmetics that can be bought in stores, but in this case they retain their beneficial properties for a short time. In this regard, purchased creams and masks after a while become less effective than they were at the time of purchase. You can also use medicinal herbs for the skin of the face in their natural form, making decoctions, infusions and masks from them at home.
Dandelion
In cosmetology, dandelion has long been used for the skin of the face in anti-aging procedures. The plant also helps, with dermatological problems, with its help you can get rid of freckles and whiten the skin of the face. The composition of the plant includes gummy substances, vitamins of groups A, B, C, E, PP, organic acids, resins, sterols and saponins.
The most effective are cosmetic facial rejuvenation procedures using masks and cosmetic ice from dandelions.
- Anti-aging mask. To prepare this mask, you need to take dandelion juice in the amount of 5 ml, 1 avocado, 5 g of starch. Make a puree from the avocado, then mix all the ingredients together. The resulting mass should be applied to a preheated face, left for 30 minutes, and then rinsed with cold water. The mask can be applied to the face 2 times a week. After several applications, the deep and small folds on the skin are noticeably smoothed and the face relief becomes more elastic.
- cosmetic ice. To prepare this product you need: 10-15 ml of dandelion juice, 50 ml of distilled water, 5 ml of hazelnut oil. All ingredients must be mixed together, poured into molds and sent to the freezer. With ready-made cubes, you need to clean your face, it is advisable to do this in the evening, the skin of the face must first be cleaned of makeup. The procedure should be carried out in 10-day sessions, while the course of treatment should not exceed 3 times a year.
Rosemary
Rosemary can replace any lightening agent, as it contains the HSP70 protein, which can slow down the aging process at the cellular level. In addition, the plant contains tannins, fatty acids, vitamins and trace elements that can heal and rejuvenate the skin of the face.
Most often, rosemary is used in the form of an essential oil, which can be purchased in most beauty shops and pharmacies. To prepare cosmetics at home, the plant will have to be grown by ourselves, since in its natural form it very rarely gets on the shelves of shops and pharmacies.
- Regenerating mask. To prepare the mask, you need to grind half a banana into a puree, then add 50 ml of avocado oil and an infusion or decoction of rosemary. The amount of decoction or infusion must be calculated, as the finished mask should resemble thick sour cream in consistency. The product can be applied to the face 2-3 times a week, after which the skin becomes more elastic, wrinkles smooth out.
- Decoction. To prepare a decoction, you need to take 20 g of dried rosemary leaves, pour 200 ml of boiling water and put them in a water bath for 15-20 minutes. Ready broth must be filtered before use. Take 50 ml twice a day.
- Infusion. The remedy is prepared from 50 g of the leaves of the plant, which are poured with a glass of boiling water and left to infuse for 3-4 hours, it is recommended to do it in a thermos or wrap the container with the infusion in something warm. After the set time has elapsed, the infusion must be filtered.
Important! Rosemary decoctions and infusions can also be used in the form of compresses or make cosmetic ice from them.

Chamomile contains many vitamins, microelements and organic acids that are valuable for the body. All this together helps to rejuvenate, hydrate and whiten the skin of the face, making it more elastic and supple. In cosmetology, the most effective result can be achieved using chamomile decoctions and infusions.
- Decoction. To prepare the product, you need to pour dried chamomile flowers - 25 grams with a glass of warm boiled water and put in a water bath for half an hour. The finished broth must be filtered and, if necessary, diluted with boiled water. Means for cleaning the skin of the face and décolleté. After application, facial wrinkles are visibly reduced and smoothed.
- Infusion. To prepare a chamomile infusion, you need to pour a tablespoon of the dried and mashed plant with a glass of boiling water and insist for half an hour. The finished product must be filtered and, as in the previous recipe, rub the skin of the face with it.

Using sage for cosmetic purposes will help cleanse the skin of the face and preserve its youth for a long time. The plant contains anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic substances, which is why sage is so widely used in cosmetology.
- Infusion for the face. Ready-made sage infusion can be used as an additive to lotions or tonics, as well as used in the form of face packs and lotions. To prepare an infusion of sage, pour 3 tablespoons of dry raw material with a glass of boiling water and insist in a thermos for 2 hours. The resulting infusion should be cooled, filtered, placed in the refrigerator and used as needed. From this infusion you can make cosmetic cubes: pour into molds and put them in the freezer and wipe your face with them in the morning and in the evening.
- Decoction. A decoction of sage acts effectively on the skin of the face, rejuvenating and toning it. To prepare it, pour three tablespoons of sage with boiling water and simmer for another 15 minutes. The resulting product must be cooled, filtered and washed with it once a day.
In nature, there are many medicinal plants that can be effectively used for cosmetic purposes. The main thing is to do it correctly so that the plant used does not harm, but rather can bring the maximum benefit from the application.
